Carroll Engineering is proud to share that our Hillsborough, New Jersey office received two awards at the 2026 Awards of Excellence, hosted by the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey.
Often referred to as the “Oscars of the Building Industry,” this annual event recognizes outstanding projects, innovation, craftsmanship, and leadership across New Jersey’s building and development industries.
Justin Jurkowski, Survey/Geospatial Manager, attended the event on behalf of Carroll Engineering. Justin also serves as the 2nd Associate Vice President on the committee chair for the organization, supporting MetroBCA’s continued efforts to recognize excellence throughout the industry.

Best Use of Survey Technology
Project: Former Somerville Landfill Redevelopment
Client: Hathaway Solar, LLC / Somerville Pioneer Solar I & II
Location: Somerville, Somerset County, NJ
Carroll Engineering provided surveying and civil engineering services for the redevelopment of the former Somerville Landfill into solar energy facilities. The project involved site planning, grading design, permitting support, environmental coordination, and the careful integration of solar arrays, access roads, fencing, equipment pads, utility infrastructure, and environmental constraints within landfill closure and NJDEP requirements.
Best Survey for Engineering Design
Project: 7 Rosin Road
Client: SESI Consulting Engineers
Location: Whippany, Morris County, NJ
Carroll Engineering was retained to provide professional surveying services, including an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey and Wetlands Delineation Plan. The work supported site due diligence, property evaluation, and future development planning through detailed boundary research, field surveying, mapping, and documentation of existing site and environmental conditions.
