Carroll Engineering was proud to join Paul Robeson Charter School in Trenton, NJ for the ribbon cutting of its new academic building, a project years in the making and rooted in community impact. As part of the team that helped bring this project to life, Tom Fik, P.E., CME, LEED AP, our Planning and Site Design Department Manager in Hillsborough, NJ, was excited to attend the ribbon cutting and celebrate the successful completion of extensive planning, design, and collaboration.
School administrators, faculty, students, alumni, and members of the design and construction teams gathered to recognize a milestone that will shape the learning experience for generations of students. The celebration included tours of the finished building as the school prepared to welcome its first group of students on December 4th, 2025.

The new facility accommodates 750 students and includes 38 academic classrooms, dedicated science labs, elective and specialty spaces, and administrative and academic support areas. A shared cafeteria and gym serve as the heart of the building, while flexible learning zones throughout create inviting spaces that encourage collaboration, creativity, and student engagement.

Outdoor recreation areas will be completed this spring and will add age-appropriate play spaces and a nature-based learning environment designed to support exploration, social interaction, and physical activity. These enhancements will round out a campus built to meet the needs of students today and in the future.
The ribbon cutting marks the start of a new era for Paul Robeson Charter School. This project reflects the commitment of the school and its partners to create an environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive. Our team at Carroll Engineering is grateful to have contributed to a project with such meaningful and lasting impact.
