Position Description:
CADD Technician position in the Company’s Water/Wastewater Services Department. Project types include linear pipeline projects (water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewers) and mechanical piping systems for sewage pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, water treatment, and booster stations. Will also assist the Company’s Municipal Services Department on public works projects.
Requirements:
- Thoroughly knowledgeable working with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- 10 plus years of related utility pipeline experience.
- Ability to create and manipulate surfaces.
- Ability to create drawing sets following US National CAD and Company Standards
- Create pipeline alignments and profiles.
- AutoCAD Pipes Routine is a plus.
- Survey data integration using Autoline is a plus
- Ability to assemble mechanical piping systems from published data is a plus.
- Ability to create building plans, sections, elevations, and details is a plus.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Self-motivated, team player.
Responsibilities:
- Create base plans and create and manipulate surfaces for linear and site-oriented projects.
- Create complete drawing sets.
- Create alignments and profiles for pipeline projects.
- Draft mechanical piping layouts and create section views and details.
- Identify drawing issues and recommend solutions
- Communicate with department staff on project status to maintain schedules.
- Assist engineering staff with CADD issues.
- Work with other CADD staff to develop procedures and troubleshoot software issues
